The science behind Declinol... ingredients that work! Safe and effective. Non-habit Forming.

Here are some of the key vitamins contained in Declinol Capsules: (For a complete list, view the Facts Box for each product)

Daidzin, (Puerariae Radix, Kudzu)

One important component of Declinol is a derivative of an herb named Puerariae Radix, also known as Kudzu Root. Kudzu is made up of a number of phytonutrients, including Daidzin. Daidzin is an isoflavone compound, and flavones are found in roughly 50% of all plants. Kudzu root is one of the best sources of naturally occurring Daidzin. Daidzin from Kudzu has been studied extensively for its ability to support craving control for alcohol, and it has been used in ancient Chinese medicine for over 1000 years as an alcohol cravings support tool. In addition to Daidzin, 47 other isoflavones have been measured in Kudzu along with several vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants.

Gentian (Bitter Herbs)

Alcohol can cause several digestive issues affecting the stomach and liver. Compounds known as bitter herbs have been used for centuries to improve digestion. Gentian is considered to be the most effective of this class of herbs. Alcohol is known to contribute to blood sugar imbalances, and Gentian has been shown to have a positive effect on glucose balance to help promote healthy glucose metabolism.

Folic Acid

Folic acid is a member of the B Vitamin family and is also known as Vitamin B9. Folic Acid or Folate has been shown to be important to brain function and plays a key role in mental and emotional health. It supports the production of genetic DNA and RNA. Folic acid also works closely with vitamin B12 to help make red blood cells and help ironwork properly in the body. Folic acid deficiency can contribute to loss of appetitive, diarrhea, irritability, forgetfulness, and mental sluggishness.

Vitamin Blend

Almost everyone recognizes that vitamins play a key part in our physiological function. Studies show that alcohol use depletes certain vitamins and minerals necessary for optimum function and wellness. Declinol capsule products contain the most critical vitamins, minerals, and nutritional supplements related to alcohol use deficiencies.

The B Vitamin family of Biotin, Folic Acid, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B1, B2, B6, and also Vitamin C, among others. Alcohol is also a well-documented depressant, and B vitamins (along with other compounds) can help regulate mood function.

Biotin

Vitamin H, more commonly known as biotin, is part of the B complex group of vitamins. All B vitamins help the body to convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy. These B vitamins, often referred to as B complex vitamins, also help the body metabolize fats and protein. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy skin, hair, eyes, and liver and deficiencies can cause symptoms that include fatigue, insomnia, and depression.

B Complex

The B Vitamin Complex includes Biotin, Folic Acid, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B1, B2, B6, Alcohol also has a well-documented effect on mood, and B vitamins (along with other compounds) can help regulate mood function and support mental and physical energy.  All B vitamins help the body to convert food (carbohydrates) into fuel (glucose), which is used to produce energy both for physical and mental activity. These B vitamins also help the body metabolize fats and protein. B complex vitamins are needed for healthy skin, hair, eyes, and liver and deficiencies can cause symptoms that include fatigue, mood fluctuations and irritability.

Niacin

Niacin, a member of the B Vitamin family, supports the digestive system, skin, and nervous function. It is also important for converting food to energy. Alcohol use affects the digestive system and can interfere with proper function. Niacin supports optimum digestive function and converting food to energy.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C, also known as Ascorbic Acid, plays an importan role in many physiological functions. Vitamin C deficiency is common in excessive alcohol use. Vitamin C also has antioxidant properties that protect cells from damage caused by free radicals and toxins (such as alcohol).  Vitamin C also plays a role in the synthesis or crucial neurotransmitters that support alertness, concentration, motivation and mood.

Pantothenic Acid

Pantothenic acid, also known as Vitamin B5 is a component of coenzyme A (CoA), an essential coenzyme in a variety of reactions that sustain life and (among other things) is involved in proper liver function. Alcohol use can result in decreased liver function. CoA is required for chemical reactions that generate energy from food (fat, carbohydrates, and proteins). The synthesis of essential fats, cholesterol, and steroid hormones requires CoA, as does the synthesis of the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine, and the hormone, melatonin. Heme, a component of hemoglobin, requires a CoA-containing compound for its synthesis. Metabolism of a number of drugs and toxins by the liver requires CoA.
